I have a few childhood baking experiences that really stick out. One of them being after an episode of Sesame Street where the characters were baking chocolate chip cookies. I decided I could do the same and would able to wing it without a recipe. The cookies came out of the oven completely spread out and pancake thin. It was so upsetting! I learned a major lesson that day about the difference of cooking and baking. Measurements really DO matter!
I think it’s safe to say that my FAVORITE treat in the whole wide world is a good ole chocolate chip cookie. There is nothing more satisfying than a warm chocolate chip cookie fresh out of the oven. This recipe is almost more of a “breakfast” cookie due to the oat-y nature of it. Okay, maybe I’m just rationalizing more than I should but we’re all adults here!
