What’s better than brownies? Candied pecans baked into your brownies!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups raw sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chopped into large chunks
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup Dutch-process cocoa
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup gluten-free flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup candied pecans, loosely chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a microwave-safe large bowl add the sugar, butter & salt and microwave at 30-second intervals until the butter has melted.
  3. Stir the mixture and let cool for a few minutes.
  4. Add the vanilla extract, cocoa, and eggs and mix until combined.
  5. Gently blend in the flour & baking soda followed by the chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the brownie mixture into an 8×8 sprayed baking pan and top with the candied pecans.
  7. Bake for 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out fairly clean.
