I love all things pasta and I especially love a delicious pasta sauce. One of the hardest adjustments for me being finding FODMAP foods that are safe was not being able to buy pre-made sauce like Ragu or Prego. It really was a blessing in disguise because the further I researched I saw that most were full of processed sugar, corn syrup and lots of preservatives. Who needs that stuff in their body? I know not me!
This is where this super easy recipe comes to play. I took all the best ingredients of store bought sauces such as the fresh tomatoes, fresh basil, extra virgin and created an easy, breezy sauce. It took me a whole 5 minutes to make and tastes SO good!
When E and I were on our honeymoon in Italy I was terrified of telling the restaurants that I was allergic to garlic. I thought I would immediately get sent straight back to America. I was SHOCKED that it was truly just the opposite. Food in Italy is made so fresh and when you order so it was no problem at all for a quick sauce to be whipped up for me. I came back thinking it would be just as easy in the states but I was rudely awakened to find that EVERYTHING is pre-marinated and pre-made.
I have found ONE premade sauce that is garlic and onion free. I love having this on hand when I’m feeling super lazy. It also makes for a good pizza sauce too!
