Gluten Free Pizza Crust

So many pizza crust recipes I have found have so many ingredients and blends. To be honest who has time for that?! Not me!  This recipe from www.shelikesfood.com was so easy to make.

Funny story, I made this pizza the night after our housewarming party and I didn’t realize that someone left the brisket container which was covered in plastic in the oven.  The kitchen was completely smoked out and it took forever before I could remove it from the oven.  #lessonlearned

Ingredients:

-2 Cups + 3 Tablespoons Gluten Free All Purpose Flour (I used Namaste blend)

-1 Package of Active Dry Yeast

-1 Teaspoon Salt

-1 Teaspoon Pure Maple Syrup

-1 1/2 Tablespoons Butter, melted

-2 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil

-1 Cup Warm Water

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl combine the flour, yeast and salt.  Add the maple syrup, butter, olive oil and water and mix until combined.  Form the dough into a ball and cover the bowl with plastic wrap for 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees and cover the pizza pan with parchment paper.  Gently roll the dough out with your handles into an even layer.
  3. Bake pizza for 10 minutes until firm and golden brown.  Remove from oven and add pizza sauce and toppings of your choice.  Bake for an additional 5-8 minutes or until toppings are heated through.
