So many pizza crust recipes I have found have so many ingredients and blends. To be honest who has time for that?! Not me! This recipe from www.shelikesfood.com was so easy to make.
Funny story, I made this pizza the night after our housewarming party and I didn’t realize that someone left the brisket container which was covered in plastic in the oven. The kitchen was completely smoked out and it took forever before I could remove it from the oven. #lessonlearned
Ingredients:
-2 Cups + 3 Tablespoons Gluten Free All Purpose Flour (I used Namaste blend)
-1 Package of Active Dry Yeast
-1 Teaspoon Salt
-1 Teaspoon Pure Maple Syrup
-1 1/2 Tablespoons Butter, melted
-2 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
-1 Cup Warm Water
Directions:
- In a large bowl combine the flour, yeast and salt. Add the maple syrup, butter, olive oil and water and mix until combined. Form the dough into a ball and cover the bowl with plastic wrap for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees and cover the pizza pan with parchment paper. Gently roll the dough out with your handles into an even layer.
- Bake pizza for 10 minutes until firm and golden brown. Remove from oven and add pizza sauce and toppings of your choice. Bake for an additional 5-8 minutes or until toppings are heated through.
