HI i’m so excited to share #MyFODMAPstory with you! I finally decided to take the plunge and start my own website after being a dedicated blog surfer for many years. I have always had a love of cooking from a young age and would pretend I had my own cooking show which was being recorded through the oven (of course!). My parents may even have a few traumatic memories of my kitchen disasters involving exploding blenders, burnt fried rice, cookies to name a few.
Ever since college, I have had stomach issues which have ranged from different degrees of annoying to laying in the fetal position. I would see doctors who would diagnose me with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and give me little to no solutions. It wasn’t until three years ago I decided to see a new doctor who introduced me to the low FODMAP diet and recommended I work with his nutritionist. You know when you have those moments in your life that are seriously life changing? This was one of them. I thought I was eating all the right healthy foods but it turns out everything I was eating was only making me feel worse. This is where the FODMAP diet comes into play and turned the way I eat and cook upside right. I am so excited for you to be a part of this journey with me! #MyFodmapStory
