Traditionally you think of pesto when you’re talking about pasta but it’s also a great way to add flavor to dishes like this pesto burger recipe or even your favorite fish like this pesto baked salmon recipe. I love this turkey burger recipe as it’s garlic and dairy free but not missing any flavor. I love making this when we have guests over and they are shocked that it is garlic and dairy free. The best part is that a homemade batch of pesto can last up to a week so go wild! Plus it’s a great feeling knowing this is okay on the IBS diet plan. What are your favorite ways to use pesto? I would love to hear!
I LOVE a good burger like the next one but it can be so hard to find FODMAP safe when dining out as most have hidden FODMAP triggers like bread, garlic and onion mixed in. I usually make these on Sunday night and have extras to bring to lunch for the rest of the week. Multitasking at it’s finest!
In case you’re looking for super simple and delicious FODMAP safe sides to pair the burgers with, check out this coleslaw and potato salad recipe.
