I have the biggest sweet tooth and also LOVE chocolate. Thankfully for me, dark chocolate is considered FODMAP desserts as long as you stick to 5 squares per serving. I give full credit to my Dad for instilling in me a deep and powerful appreciation for all things chocolate. <3 He is also the one who taught me how much more delicious chocolate is when it’s kept cold. Did you know about this? Try it out and let me know what you think!
I’m sure you’ve seen the bajillion recipes and posts for banana ice cream on the internet. I wanted to find out for myself what all the fuss is about and I can tell you with 100% certainty that I’m a converter. One of the reasons being that I have a fierce aversion to eating bananas once they have any brown spots. There are only so many banana muffins one can make (even though this recipe is a da bomb). Just a word of caution, portion size is important to follow as 1 unripe banana is FODMAP safe but only 1/2 a ripe banana is safe.
But back to this recipe, the combination of bananas, chocolate, and peanut butter is so decadent and delicious! It is an awesome dairy-free alternative and also is made with clean ingredients. Feel free to add or take out ingredients depending on what you have available. For example, if you’re not a big chocolate fan, leave it out. I promise you won’t miss the real ice cream version.
